I'm a doula and have recently taken on a prenatal client who went into labor at 25 wks. She is currently 26 wks and on bedrest in the hospital and her cervix is sewn shut. She is 20 yrs old. One child (11 month old boy). Married. Muslim. Had a previous miscarriage at around 17 wks. Her son was induced and preterm. The doctor wants to have her deliver at around 28 wks.
I'm trying to help her prepare with information on Kangaroo care, breastfeeding preterm newborns, bonding with babies in special care. (the last one I havent been able to find many resources on.)
does anyone have any other suggestions or resources?

Thanks.

What is her nutritional status? A good, clean diet with lots of good protein and fresh fruits and veggies plus lots of water can go a long way to stop this kind of scenario. I've had prematurely laboring moms on bedrest actually reverse their "progress" and go to term.

I would want to know what her BV status is.
